Caragh Egan is a qualified yoga teacher specialising in Hatha, prenatal and yoga for kids. Caragh offers public drop-in classes, as well as private group and individual classes in the south Dublin area.
Caragh has been practising yoga since 1999 and initially qualified as a hatha yoga teacher through Marie Quail's Yoga Therapy and Training Centre in Belfast. She completed Donna Farhi's advanced teacher training, the Sivananda teacher training intensive in Kerala and prana flow teacher training courses with Shiva Rea. Inspired by Shiva's flowing, creative style, Caragh's classes aim to combine breath and movement, flowing from one pose to the next, allowing the practice to become a moving meditation.
Caragh qualified as a prenatal yoga teacher in 2004, completing the Birthlight diploma in perinatal teaching. In 2007, she further increased her knowledge of prenatal yoga and active birth by completing the perinatal yoga teacher training program at the Elbow Room. Since then Caragh has given birth to her two sons and one daughter and firmly believes that yoga contributed to her very comfortable, healthy pregnancies, natural births and recoveries. She feels that her experience of pregnancy, birth and motherhood has helped her to connect with pregnant women in her yoga classes, so that she can create a class that meets their needs.
Yoga for Kids
In 2016, Caragh qualified as a Yoga for Kids teacher, through the Elbow Room teacher training. She is qualified to teach ages 3 to 13 years and teaches yoga in Monkstown Educate Together National School. If you would like Caragh to teach at your school or creche, please get in touch.
As well as her public classes, Caragh offers private individual and group lessons. If you would like to avail of this, please contact Caragh for further information.
